Wife demanding for khula and asking 25 lakhs as final settlement

My Wife is well educated, she's working in a MNC company and earning 50 thousand rupees monthly,just stayed with me for 2 months and then left the matrimonial house and went to her mother's house by giving some vague excuses and said that she will return back but didn't come back ,after few days her family threatned us and demanded khula and 25 lakhs as final settlement and also will not return back the gold jewellery given by me.

By your questions it seems your law which will be applied is Mahomedan law (Muslim personal law) in India which governs personal and family matters for Muslims, including marriage, divorce, inheritance, and gifts, so what you need to do is give an intimation letter to police stating that you are expecting false criminal case against you then give talak e hasan which is valid in law, in India and seek no relationship with her from now on and give a legal notice for her to start away from you and your family, also teb gold given by you and your family is her stree dhan you cannot take it but, you can file a complaint of theft against her if she has taken away stuff which belongs to your family

In a Khulla, wife foregoes her right to remaining Mahr. And you have to pay maintenance for the iddat period only. You can negotiate and refuse to give consent for khulla until they lower their demands. The wife has the option of going to court under the dissolution of Muslim marriage act. You are also exposed to her filing a DV case. Try negotiating or let her go to court.
