Delaying tactics are often adopted by parties to frustrate the opposite side and the court practically does nothing except for levying cost on the party which adopts such methods.
It would be better if you mention before the court that you can't be a part of a failed marriage when there is no scope of its revival. Apart from that just try to gauge the mind of the opposite party as to what is their actual demand and then resolve these issues and go for mutual consent divorce.
A few sessions of mediation might help in this regard.
