What is the period for divorce procedure completion?

Dear sir/ Madam
You have to file divorce petition under some grounds like desertion, Cruelty, etc, once petition filed court will issue Summons to your husband or wife, after filing their objection and leading evidence court will pass order, it will take minimum one year

Here your not mentioned particular divorce, mutual divorce or contesting divorce ..? If you are applying mutual divorce you may get within one year, contesting divorce, will not say maximum time. Consult me and get relief.

Divorce by mutual consent is faster. Otherwise, it will take more than 6 months which may go upto 2 years or more if contested. You can file for the divorce after one year of the marriage.

Personal laws govern marriages and divorce i.e., there are different laws for Hindus, Muslims, Christians, etc. So without more information it is not possible to give legal advice as it is unclear under which law your case would be applicable. However in most personal laws divorce is also of two types: 1) mutual consent and 2) contested. Mutual Consent is when both husband and wife jointly decide to divorce each other - this is simpler and takes lesser time. Contested divorce is when one party makes allegations against and other and seeks intervention of the Court to get divorced from that person. (Eg. adultery) These take longer.
