Visitation rights restrictions

01-Jan-2024 (In Divorce Law)
, My husband has come to give mutual divorce. He has history of mental illness(affected twice.last one was in 2021 ) due to marijuana consumption. He drinks alcohol regularly at home in front of the kid. Also uses abusive words in front of the kid. There was also an incident showing negligence towards the kid where the kid was admitted in hospital for injury.I will be taking the custody but I dont want to give any visitation. Is it possible. On what grounds?. If not how to restrict visitation

If you want to get divorce from your husband go for mutual consent which has simple proceedings. As far as visiting rights is concerned the burden is upon you to prove your version as visitation could spoil your child character and health.

hello mam, alocious here, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, the visitation rights of your husband are inherent however, it can be petitioned to refrain from any visitation rights only if the husband is harming the child or intends to harm the child in the future, you can contact me for further clarifications, thank you
