US court divorce validity in India

My son is married under Hindu marriage act and subsequently got divorced on mutual basis at a court in India... Is that divorce judgement valid in India ? Can I go ahead with second marriage?

hi alocious here, I can well understand your concern from your query raised, if they have got a divorce from a family court in india it is deemed to be a divorce throughout india and, should not be a problem to go ahead with the second marriage thank you.

Yes, he can. Once he got the divorce he can go for another marriage. There is no legal impediment for his second marriage when the divorce was granted by a competent court. Get the second marriage registered along with the divorce decree papers.
