You contest the divorce case which has been filed by your husband, so that he may does not know your intention for getting the divorce. Simultaneously you also file a case of maintenance so that he may confirmed about it that you still don't wants divorce & definitely you will get some maintenance amount & you will also get the alimony from your husband as one time settlement amount along with divorce. don't go for x-parte decree. If you will not contest the case your husband may withdraw the divorce petition & you will again stuck with him.

If you don't attend the court then he will get ex parte divorce decree within 3 or 4 court dates which will take 6 to 12 months, provided that he has proper grounds for getting divorce. But if he has made any false implications against you in the divorce case such as adultery etc. then you should defend the case.
