Suicidal threat over broken marriage...
03-May-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I met a girl one year ago through a matrimonial website, then 3/4 times we met and used to do regular conversation with her via phone calls/ whatsapp etc. Over time we got emotionally attached. Now for last six months there were arguments frequently almost in every matters and we tried to resolve the issues and they got sometimes resolved also. Now after the marriage date was fixed, we got into very serious arguments again and both families also got involved into it. Now after the arguments our family decided to cancel the marriage. After the message was conveyed to the girls house, the girl got overwhelmed and loosing her mental stability. She is now expressing that she may commit suicide. And as per the current situation the marriage can not happen. What should I do in this current scenario?
you may convey the message personally to the girl . you first meet with her and convince her to understand your decision and result or good outcome of the said decision. If you can manage her and her family by words of mouth, then that will be good for you. otherwise, you may file one representation before the local police station intimating your problems so that in future if worse situation arises, you may counter the same
first of all try to resolve the issue and not to postpone the marrige. but if it is not possible anyhow then ask your parents to give a detail representation before the concerned police station about the threats of suicide of that girl. otherwise if anything happens your family and you may get into troubles.
for futher information kindly contact me.
write a letter to that girl detailing how it would be against her interest to enter into a marital accord with you. also tell her about the bright prospect that lies ahead of the girl. finally counsel the girl from taking any extreme step. try to comfort the girl through your letter and either email or speed post.
