sttlement fees charged by lawyer

i had filed money and property OP against my husband and then while planning to file for divorce, he agreed for mutual divorce with settlement agreement where he agreed to return all my assets and money. lawyer charged me 7 % of total settlement amount value in the agreement, which is in lakhs, need guidance on the lawyer fees context asap.

you can offer according to your financial condition. there is no legal restrictions.. only thing is you have to give lawyer reasonable fees. if there is an agreement between you and lawyer regarding fees you have to honour the agreement. if lawyer has fought case for long period and tried hard for settlement terms 7% is not a high amount..
