Spending money for the family is it wifes responsibility

I want to know if wife and husband are working, is it mandatory for wife to give money to run the family?? Is it not husband's legal responsibility to care of the family?? My husband is just paying emi for home and car which are assets and iam paying for everything from grocerires till child tution fee and he is threatening it's wifes responsibility to share this. Iam only daughter to my parents and iam restricted even in that matter. But iam obliged to take care of my fatherinlaw.
Dear Madam,
It is mutual understanding and such terms ought to have been discussed and decided before the marriage. It is the equal responsibility of both son and daughter to shoulder the responsibility of their respective parents. Neither of the spouse cannot deny such responsibility even as per Senior Citizens Act. Ask your parents to file maintenance case under the provisions of Criminal Procedure Code and also under the provisions of Senior Citizens Act then they will get amount from your salary legally then your husband cannot say anything.
