I have perused your query and would advise you as follows: Under the Muslim law the marriage is a contract and the divorce can be effected mutually by entering into a talaqnama or mutual agreement. Marriage may also be dissolved by judicial decree under the Dissolution of Muslim Marriage Act, 1939.
