Shall I get share in my inlaws properties

15-Jan-2025 (In Divorce Law)
I filed sec9 and my husband filed sec13 1 ia. No kids. Cross examination going. Both are software engineers. No properties on my husband name. But my father in-law and mother in law have properties they got from their parents after they death it happens before our marriage. Now if they die with out writing WILL, shall I get the share on it. They are transferring all properties to daughter as gift deed now. Shall I stop it, How I will get share?

You can not make claims over your in laws properties as those are now their own properties. And they can gift those properties to anyone at their will. Even after they die without writing a Will , you can not make claims over it directly, but may be in the form of final settlement that, too, only if your estranged husband wants to dispose of his share in such manner. If those properties are gifted during their lifetime then you will not stand a chance.
