Seeking Legal Advice: Hindu Marriage Annulment/Divorce & Compensation

23-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Can an annulment or divorce be pursued due to non-consummation of marriage after eight months when one party is unwilling to continue the relationship? The wedding was conducted with Hindu rituals, but did not register for a marriage certificate. Is there potential for compensation for costs and mental distress?

Yes the marriage is repudiated on the fact of non consummation of marriage how much ever the time period has passed. You can also claim compensation for your loss of time and emotions from your spouse
