Hello sir, I understand your concern. Whether you can seek a divorce depends on the specific facts of your marriage, including the reasons for the lack of physical and emotional intimacy, whether reconciliation has been attempted, and your wife’s position on the matter. After understanding your situation, we can advise whether mutual consent divorce or a contested divorce would be the appropriate course.

If you are pursuing a divorce in India, you must first determine if you both agree to the separation. Under the Hindu Marriage Act, a Mutual Consent Divorce requires you to live apart for at least one year and sign an agreement before filing. Alternatively, you can file a Contested Divorce on grounds like mental cruelty
