Respond to divorce petition transfer

Wife has approached HC to get the divorce case transferred to her place. Please guide on below things. 1. what are the steps involved if i want to object the transfer? 2. How many times i will have to visit the HC? 3. Within how many days/weeks/months it shall be decided? 4. Do i need an experienced lawyer for this or any lawyer can do? 5. What would be overall cost?

yes you need an experienced lawyer and a person who will guide you best yes the transfer can be stopped also but proper reasonings need to be put and without good experience lawyer you will be in trouble

firstly,you need to object to the territorial jurisdiction of the court in which the case is sought to be transferred. in regard to the query visit, the presence is only necessary to swear the affidavit, you don't need to be present at the time of hearing. it generally taken a month or two depending upon the determination of the court. you obviously need an experienced Advocate to represent you in high court
