Regarding Interim Maintenance Judgement

Is there any judgement which says that purpose of interim maintenance is to prevent destitution and vagarancy of wife which includes food, shelter, clothing and medical and not match status of family . Status should be seen at time of final maintenance. Will it be fruitful to argue on this line at time of interim maintenance?
