If she was already legally married in 2006 but obtained the divorce decree only in 2008, mentioning “unmarried” in the employment form could potentially create a service/disciplinary issue for suppression or misrepresentation, depending on what the form specifically asked and the applicable service rules. However, the 2011 marriage being subsequently declared null/annulled is a separate issue. She should not panic or make any false statement now; first obtain certified copies of the 2004 proceedings, 2008 divorce decree and 2011 annulment order, and have a service-law advocate examine the exact declaration made in 2006, the applicable recruitment/service rules, and whether the department can still take action after this long delay.

What exactly is the query? It is difficult to make out exactly what is worrying your friend. Is it about the job? Or about the second marriage? Or is there a prospect for 3rd marriage? Please state your query clearly.

The facts require careful examination because the first marriage was pending before the Magistrate and the divorce decree was obtained in 2008, while she subsequently remarried in 2011 and that second marriage was later declared null and void/annulled. Merely mentioning “unmarried” in a government form does not automatically establish criminal liability; the exact wording of the declaration, the applicable service rules, and whether there was any deliberate concealment affecting appointment or service benefits are important. She should obtain certified copies of both matrimonial proceedings/decrees and review the original employment form and relevant service rules before making any statement to the department. Since the matter concerns an old matrimonial history and government employment, please send the appointment/application form, both marriage/divorce/annulment documents and any notice or communication received from the department on WhatsApp for detailed examination. After reviewing the documents, it can be assessed whether any correction/disclosure is advisable and what legal or departmental action, if any, may arise.

You may get in touch, I really couldn’t understand your question well but from what I have understood your friend wants to be clear of her status so that she can get proper jobs and not end up in trouble right? In that case you will have to let me know what is her current marital status how many marriages how many divorces have been granted..
