it does seem that the wife has quit her job to extract maximum maintenance from the husband. this fact should also be brought to the notice of the court as quitting job for no valid reason should be taken against the wife. the only way that the case can be settled in one shot is if both parties settle the matter amicably and withdraw all cases against each other under the settlement. however if contested the cases do go on for sometime. should you have any queries please feel free to contact me

There is no straight jacket formula to calculate maintenance rather it is to be determined on the basis of several relevant factors. All the conduct of the parties aids in determining the fate of the suit. For precise advice, proper analysis of the facts accompanied by supporting documents is required.

Greetings, Do consult a lawyer having expertise in matrimonial matters and seek a detailed legal consultation. Do apprise him about the facts and share the requisite documents to enable him to tender his considered legal opinion. These proceedings takes time. Can be settled in quick time provided good sense prevails at both end. Mediation can be tried to explore the possibilities of settling all the cases in one go.

Yes sir, Advocate tries to get maximum alimony from the husband so they file these cases. So the best option is to show you have never restrained her from working, you earn little and get her income return form to confirm her income or any paper or even the position she works at. stress is not caused by you but her own self. the case will stretch and eventually she will withdraw the case or demand less . please show to earn little due the stress she has caused you.
