I have a house in joint name with my mother which i purchased before marriage and with the money of my parents Can my wife have any legal right in this property during divorce?

The wife can claim the maintenance from the husband for herself and the maintenance of her kids but not the property share. In the eyes of the judicial system, the property belongs to the person in whose name it's registered. As per the law, the wife has no right on the property which is registered in the name of another.

Your question is that does your wife have any rights over property under your name which is purchased by your fathers fund ! Well even if the property is your self acquired even then your wife doesn’t have any right over it in the case of divorce …plz b in touch

your wife has residence rights in the house in which she was staying with you. her title right to the property comes into effect after the death of her husband and that too if the husband has any property in his name. a married woman does not have title rights in her in laws property.
