If you are feeling threatened from your wife and that she might file a complaint under 498A, I strongly advise you to obtain anticipatory bail for yourself and your family members. Ordinarily complaints under Section 498A are filed against not just the husband, but all immediate family members like your parents and siblings. It would be advisable to obtain anticipatory bail for all members and then perhaps if you do not wish to continue the marriage, you can file a case for Divorce or try to settle your issues through Marriage Counselling.

Dear sir,
If your wife intend to file case for dowry harrasement under section 498a of IPC and 3 and 4 of Dowry prohibition act, once FIR registered you may arrest by the police, to avoid that you are better to obtain anticipatory bail by the sessions court. Then you can contest the case before court.
