hi alocious here, I can well understand your concern from your query raised, it depends upon case to case and there is no prescribed time line to get a case numbered sometimes the petition may Eben be rejected at the filing stage, you can contact me for further clarifications, thank you

While you were presenting your divorce petition to the Court, the court would post it to check and call on some other date; so that the petition filed will be scrutinized thoroughly. And, if the provisions and the other prerequisites are rightly filed in that petition, then your case would get the registration number. The case registration number will be given before the case enters the Court room. Usually there's a delay of one or two day between filing the case and the case actually getting assigned to a Court.
