On going 125 crpc cross examination

During husband's cross examination is it ok to request the court upfront not to ask when happened but ask what and how happened as it is a 10 years' old thing? Saying everytime "I don't remember" makes it uncomfortable and puts some pressure. Please advise.

During cross-examination, the opposing counsel has the right to ask questions related to the case, even if the events occurred a long time ago. However, if the questions are repetitive, irrelevant, or designed to harass or pressure the witness, your lawyer can object and request the court to intervene. The court may allow you to provide approximate answers or limit questions if it agrees that the details of when events occurred (10 years ago) are not central to the case.

During the cross examination you need to consider every aspect of the case and the advocate during cross examination has the right to ask you anything about the past, which is in relation to the matrimonial life. it's sometimes very tricky to respond to the questions. you can approach me for better assistance during evidence in courts, as without going through the case file it would be difficult to give you best advice.
