NRI DIVORCE CASE - Travel advisory to India

Hi, I'm an NRI based in London. I got married in India in 2020 and my wife and I moved to London. At the moment we are both UK citizens.
I filed for divorce in London and there's an active case going on here.
But my wife's family have started parallel litigation in India.
Is there a travel risk if I need to go to India anytime?
Can they turn the civil case into a criminal case and get me into trouble?
Merely filing a civil matrimonial case does not expose you to any criminal liability. however, a criminal complaint may be filed by your wife like DV etc, before travelling you need to verify that if any criminal FIR or complaint has been made against you or not. A detailed fact will help determine the issue better

Can a civil case become a criminal case? A pending civil or matrimonial case does not automatically become a criminal case. However, if the other side files a criminal complaint alleging offences such as cruelty, dowry harassment, cheating, or criminal breach of trust, the police may register an FIR if the allegations disclose a cognizable offence.
