NRI DIVORCE CASE - Travel advisory to India

Hi, I'm an NRI based in London. I got married in India in 2020 and my wife and I moved to London. At the moment we are both UK citizens.
I filed for divorce in London and there's an active case going on here.
But my wife's family have started parallel litigation in India.
Is there a travel risk if I need to go to India anytime?
Can they turn the civil case into a criminal case and get me into trouble?

The fact that a divorce case is pending in the UK does not automatically stop your wife's family from initiating separate legal proceedings in India if they believe they have a valid cause of action. However, a matrimonial dispute or divorce petition by itself does not become a criminal case. A criminal case can be registered only if specific allegations disclosing a cognizable offence are made and the authorities find sufficient grounds to proceed.
If any criminal complaint or FIR is filed in India, you should not ignore it and should immediately seek legal advice to protect your rights. Your travel to India will depend on whether any criminal proceedings, summons, warrant or other legal orders are pending against you.
