Not able to pay alimony in mutual divorce
21-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi Sir Myself and wife filed mutual divorce case in June 2017 now we have final motion on 05th Jan 2018 . I have not been able to manage alimony amount as I lost my job. So can I ask court to reject my mutual divorce petition on final date. What if I don't appear on final motion what legal action would be taken against me. Can I withdraw case
It depends on the terms of agreement mentioned in the divorce petition. It also depends on your wife’s view with respect to the current situation. If both of your are keen to get divorce mutually then you can find a solution amicably to resolve it and complete the procedure.
