Need to know my entitlement to pension after divorce

Need to know if I am entitled to my late husband’s pension who retired as air commodore in 1992 and I was divorced in 1995. He passed away in 1995. I understand that divorcee who have not married since are entitled to their divorced husband s pension from defense forces. Kindly respond on how I should claim it / go about the process.

Dear Madam, The entitlement to a family pension is generally determined by the date of the pensioner's death and the rules/circulars in force on that date. Since the death occurred in 1995, the rules of 1995 would apply unless a later circular/judgment has specifically retrospective effect covering this situation.
