I hv DV and 498a case ongng for whch hv givn 20k advnc to my advocate fr quash 498a in hgh curt which he didn't filed and now we have put a discharge request for 498a and Intrm M has bn passed of 20k for wfe and 4yr son. Advct says 20k is spnt until now To file for appeal fr intrm M in session court he is asking another 25k and 20k for Court NOC neded fr pssprt rnwl of Uncl and Ant & also giving 1k each date am i being duped? Wht is nominal fees for cmplt DV cse?

In your case, insist lawyer state the total cost of the entire proceeding in writing and requires that any additional or contingency costs be approved by you in advance. Fees must be calibrated to the stage your case is at; from the facts it seems you have been overcharged.

Well, fees depends on case to case basis .I need to scrutinize your case related Documents to give you the quotation. In Legal Industry, fees is not fixed, it depends upon lot of factors like Age of the Lawyer, his knowledge, experience, track record of his winning the cases, good will in society, etc
