Need advice in filing a case on my hus and in-laws

We are thinking to file criminal case 498A and DV case on my hus and my in-laws because they are not ready to accept me and thrown out me from home. he is staying in bangalore itself but when i called telling lies that he was out of station. We have enquired near to his house and found out the truth. My belongings and articles everything is under control of them only. So thought to file 498A in police station. But the police is refusing to file case and simply telling to wait wait thats it.. how

Dear Madam, Immediately lodge a complaint with Police under Section 498A and 406 of IPC and see that your valuables are recovered from him through Police. Further, you can file Domestic Violence in the Court of Magistrate claiming maintenance etc. mention the names of all the family members in both the cases.
