My sister in law doesn't want to appear for the summons in Baroda.

12-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello, my sister in law (Aged 43 Years) has received the summons for appearance in family court @ Baroda on 9th Jan 17, in connection with a divorce petition filed by her Husband... She is separated & staying away from her husband since last 8-10 yrs.. She is currently residing @ Gadag, Karnataka with her 70 yr old mother .. She wants to give the consent for this divorce.. & she does not want maintenance/alimony neither the custody of child (17 Yrs). Only constraint that she is unwilling to travel to Baroda leaving her ailing mother, to appear in court. And it might be a traumatic affair for her to face this, as she has already on anti depressants. Another hampering factor is, that case is in Baroda, She is in Gadag & we are in Thane (Basically we are their Support System right now as she doesn't have brother/s & father expired around 30-35 years back).. Now kindly let us know how we can approach ahead in this case, so that we follow the law correctly & close this

Dear Client, you have not appear in the court, but you have simple write a letter for your consent for this divorce and you have sent this letter by Registered Post at court address of Baroda, so that you have not appear court and your husband filed divorce decree is passed by hon'able court.

If she don't want to ho Baroda, then court started said petition as ex parte, that means she has a knowledge that divorce case has been filed against her but she don't want to take her stand in that circumstance, if petitioner proves his case then court grant a divorce order.
