My friend's wife entered false material status in court marriage. She was married earlier(no divorce). And she told unmarried. Can my friend challenge the married. She did 498a FIR on my friend. And metioned in fir that she had informed before marriage that her divorce case is running. But she is telling lie. Even she has mentioned in fir that she was not divorced on the time marriage. Police is not registering fir on her and application in court is pending from 1 year. Because police is delaying in investigation. What kind of system is this. A Girl is making joke of court and others families and police registering FIR on boys only. Even now she is fighting 2 498a cases together with 2 husbands.

You need to file a petition under section 11 HMA because the second marriage is void and is also a punishable offence (bigamy) under section 494 IPC. The person is not allowed to have 2 husband/wife at the same time. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
