Mutual Separation between Husband and Wife

16-Oct-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Dear Sir/Madam, we have some issues between husband and wife and we decided to live separately with mutual Separation Agreement between Husband and Wife duly written on 100 rupees bond paper along with 2 witnesses. However is this Mutual Separation Agreement between Husband and Wife should be executed in the sub registrar office ? will it be valid to file a mutual divorce petition in future by showing the bond paper saying we are living separately for long time ? please help me with inputs.

Irrespective of agreement between you, both of you will have to file a divorce petition jointly and seek divorce by mutual consent. The date of separation to be mentioned in the divorce petition can be proved by oral evidence and additionally the document can he shown. The date of separation can be disputed only by either of you. So registration is something that need not be considered.
