Divorce by mutual consent cannot be granted through video conference in India...parties need to be physically present before the court for the proceedings... Since this option is not possible so question of extra cost doesn't arise

Hi, my suggestion to you to appoint Special Power of Attorney with the prior leave of court.
I may also suggest you to take off from your busy abroad schedule to appear personally in the court. In these type of Mutual Consent Divorce there are only two dates. Its the discretion of court to allow video conferencing or not.

A mutual divorce under section 13(B) can be invoked to go for divorce mutual consent. The act does not prescribe any charges, but to avail the facility of videoconferencing would depend on the discretion of the court having the jursdiction to adjudicate your case. The jurisdiction would be determined depending on the court where you last resided or where you had your wedding take place,

The cost would really depend on the court in which the jurisdiction would fall, the best way would be take an appointment and give the details about the your marriage and then I would be in a better position to get into the cost of it.
