Mutual divorce and alimony payment

09-Sep-2025 (In Divorce Law)
Dear All, My wife and I are separated for 5 years. A 498A and divorce case are ongoing. Now, we’ve agreed to file for Mutual Divorce. However, she is demanding full alimony at the First Motion stage, in exchange for withdrawing the pending cases and signing the mutual divorce petition. I’m concerned she may not appear for the Second Motion or may change her mind, and I won’t be able to recover the alimony if that happens. What safeguards can be put in place to protect my interests.
