As per Hindu law you have to obtain a decree of divorce from the court. You have to get the declaration of divorce for valid divorce. Because the law does not recognize divorce on stamp paper. so you have to get the decree from court by filing a petition for divorce by mutual consent only then your divorce will be valid in eyes of law.
