Mutual Consent Divorce Delay - Christian Marriage

07-Dec-2024 (In Divorce Law)
Hi, I've filed for Mutual Consent Divorce under Sect 10A (Divorce Act 1869) in June 2024 (First hearing); Mediation failed (July 2024); Next Court Appearance post-mediation was in August 2024. Second hearing scheduled for December 2024. My Query is : (1) Why Case status still shows First Order, whereas it is due for Second Order; (2) Considering Second Order is passed, is another hearing required for decree; (3) Is remarriage possible immediately after receiving Decree? Thanks in advance

Well, there are two motions, that, everyone has to go through to get a Divorce Decree in India in case of Mutual Divorces. Now, you have to figure out - Whether the first motion has been completed or not? If not, then the Second Motion to get Divorce Decree will not start. Usually, a Motion may take 1 to 5 Hearings approx to complete
