Mention relation is legal to marry or not

I am from tamilnadu. One of my friends is in relationship. He is in love with his relative girl. The girl is his father's brother's wife's sister's daughter. I can see that there is no blood relation between them. But still in confusion whether they are legal to get marry in Tamilnadu under hindu community. Can you please help of clarifying is it legal to marry the girl or not. Thanks.

Though they are not legally blood relatives they would fall under prohibited relationship presrcied under the law. They would have a sister and brother relationship. It is not advisable to legally get married.
