Mental harassment by husband after seperation

I m a married but separated hindu ladies as my husband treated me very badly, domestic violence. so I shifted to a new city and started new carrier. but he is behind my life to go back to him, does not allow me to speak to my two kids. Calls and messages me from different nos, asks his friends to talk to me and send me objectionable messages. abuses me on phone so i keep blocking his nos. I want him not to disturb my peace and let me be so i can pursue my carrier and life a new life.
File a police complaint against him. The word "separated" is ambiguous and I cannot make it out if you are divorced or not. If you are not divorced, then file a divorce petition. I presume your kids are not living with you. So if you want their custody, then you will have to file a petition for that too.
