The jurisdiction assumed by the foreign court as well as the grounds on which the petition is filled must be in accordance with the matrimonial law under which you and your wife are married.
For this reason in order to tell you whether the present petition filled by your wife is maintainable or not before the foreign Court, I request you to provide the details of your religion/nationality and place of marriage and the Copy of the divorce petition filled by your wife.

Dear Sir,
Recently it is held by Supreme court of India that a marriage solemnised in India under Hindu rites and customs can be dissolved in India alone or under the provisions of Hindu Marriage Act. However, arrest depends upon filling of criminal case by your wife. Divorce petition is not a criminal case.
