Lawyer asking for bribe to settle the divorce case

Dear Lawrato team,
I have one question regarding , if lawyer can ask for bribe to give judge for settlement of case. I dont want to name any lawyer here , where a lawyer said that other party has given bribe to judge and hence demanding bribe to give judge else this case wont settle.
This is a divorce case of my one of family member , he is fighting for divorce for past 2 years , his wife left in 2014 and she never returned and when he filed for divorce from her she is asking for huge maintenance and alimony amount. She is herself quite capable as she is a teacher in Mumbai .She is having a kid. please help how to settle this case or if he can hire a new lawyer as this lawyer seems to be fake one.
just take no objection from that lawyer and engage another lawyer, further let the court decide what maintenance is payable to her if she is entitled, as she is earning she may not be granted maintenance unless the husband is leading better standard of living then her, further if the child is with the wife the husband is equally liable to pay maintenance as his wife.
