Language used In Aurangabad High Court (Oral Arguments)

28-Apr-2026 (In Divorce Law)
I would like to inquire whether, in practice, Hindi + English can be used during oral arguments in the Aurangabad High Court. As the official court language is English, I want to understand the practical scenario followed during hearings — whether advocates are permitted to use Hindi (along with English) while making oral submissions. Kindly guide based on practical experience.

While English is the official language at the Aurangabad High Court, judges practically allow a mix of Hindi and English during oral arguments for clarity. This depends entirely on the judge's discretion. All written submissions must remain in English. It is always advisable to politely seek permission from the bench before switching languages.
