Is USA divorce valid in India if both parties are USA citizens

26-Nov-2025 (In Divorce Law)
I live in Georgia state. Got married in India then moved to USA . Currently living in Georgia and have USA citizenship. Filed divorce in Georgia. My husband moved to India ,transferred money to India after I filed divorce. I don’t know if he comes back to USA or not to complete the divorce hearing. Partially he participated in divorce proceedings. If he doesn’t come back to USA and I get divorce without him , is this divorce will be valid in India. He is also facing Domestic violence case in usa

divorce is divorce. if you get that with due process of court, accordingly,it is valid. normally, Court respect an official order. untill it is challenged by someone in court. so, as you already mentioned that he was attending the process, means he is well aware of this proceedings. so he is well informed too.
