Interim custody requested by father

Hi my name is Preethi, I have a 3 year old daughter going pre kg, I'm living in Chennai with my daughter after being separated from my husband(who lives in Bangalore) since I was 1 month pregnant. My husband never made any attempt to visit the child so far, but now due to maintenance case. He applied for interim custody under RCR case which he filed in Bangalore. How can this be limited to visiting in public place for few hours in Chennai.
