The answer depends on the nature of the proceedings and the stage of the case. If a Criminal Original Petition (Crl.O.P.) has been erroneously listed as a Civil Revision Petition (CRP), the High Court has ample power to correct the cause title, classification, or listing of the case. However, once a final judgment or order has been passed, the High Court generally cannot review or alter its judgment except to correct clerical or arithmetical errors, as provided under Section 362 Cr.P.C. (corresponding provisions under BNSS). If the matter has been wrongly posted or tagged, a memo may be filed before the Registry or a mention may be made before the concerned Court for appropriate correction. Please provide complete facts and the present stage of the proceedings for a more specific opinion.
