I have existing case on violence can divorce be proposed from my husba

I already have a case registered on my husband and his family due to violence and harassment , i don't have any intention to divorce him we have a baby girl who needs both of us, can he propose for divorce and how can I reject if he request divorce? Or what happens to my baby's future what benifits he has to provide her. Please help.

You can file a suit for restitution of conjugal rights against your husband if you don't seek a divorce. He proposed divorce then you and the child be eligible for maintenance. If you are a working woman then maintenance for yourself will be difficult. Custody will be yours. Hope this resolves your query. Regards. Advocate A Z SHAH
