Husband fights daily after consuming alcohol what to do

I got married 5 months back, Feb 2016. It was an arrange marriage. We clearly mentioned in newspaper that the boy should be a teetotaler. I got to know during my courtship period that He is an occasional drinker . I had not much problem with that. After marriage I realized that he is a regular drinker and fights we me everyday after taking alcohol. In addition, their family communicated before marriage that My Mother in Law was in depression but she is fine now. But after marriage I got to know that she is not fine and an insane lady. How can the law help me? Can I file a case? am not happy
You can file a case for divorce against your husband in case you feel that the marriage will not work any further. The ground of being an alcoholic and regular fights is more than enough to prove mental cruelty on the part of your husband.

Drinking and beating cannot be tolerated. You and your parents must on very clear terms ask him to mend his ways. If you and your family thinks or there is a scope of improvement in his attitude and he feels sorry for his acts then you should give him one last chance otherwise there should be no second thought in leaving this family. You must file for divorce and take criminal action against the torture which has been done to you by lodging an FIR or filing a complaint before the Judicial Magistrate at the earliest.

Yes, you can, file a case of cruelty and harassment, also include cheating. cruelty and harassment is under 498A, if there was dowry demand or anything of that sort, then include dowry prohibition Act. If you have any injury, then include those sections also, along with injury report. Don't forget cheating
