Husband absconded, changed residence and filed divorce, what to do

My sister husband along with his mother had changed his residence without his wife/in-laws notice and filed a divorce in the court of law. My sister is having a girl child who is now 1.5 yrs of age. It's been more than a year now but could not contact him.pls advise what to do in such situation.
If she is not willing to give divorce then she may contest the divorce case filed by her husband. In the meanwhile she may seek maintenance from her husband to maintain her and the child. If the marriage life is irreparably broke down and she is consent for divorce then she may give consent to in the said case.
