How to settle the divorce case disputes..

07-Jan-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I had filed 498a case against my husband and a contested divorce is ongoing. my husband is asking for settlement but we don't trust him. In mcd I should return all the other cases. But it is possible he will not come to divorce final hearing after returning 498a case. This happened to one of my friend, her husband didn't show up on final hearing of MCD after she returned all the pending cases. And McD is dismissed and now she is suffering to get divorce. How to proceed for settlement/MCD?

You can get divorce on mutual consent...You need not withdraw 498a case in the beginning..You and your husband shall file the petition for mutual divorce first. After getting the mutual divorce, you can withdraw the 498a case.. It's possible.
