How to safeguard my child from my husband

My husband left me and my childrens (6yrs old and 3months old) stating that we have difference of opinion with a suicidal note. I filed an FIR and found him after 4 days and handed over him to his parents. Now anytime he can do the same sort of thing like suicide etc.,now I don't want to undergo this trauma lifelong I want to safeguard my childrens from him. How can I take custody of my childrens legally. Please suggest me. We both are Hindus.

hi alocious here I can well understand your concern from the query raised, you can petition the family court for obtaining the custody of the children under the GWOP, and once case Is admitted after hearing and submission of evidences and arguments, the custody of children will be granted to you, thank you, you can contact me for further clarifications
