how to file RTI and what documents is required

18-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My husband has many ancestor properties in his mother's name, his mother has made all these properties to her daughters. He is working in a private company and he is not revealing his income. I don't have a child, is it possible to claim for these properties. How can i file a RTI to get his salary details and property details, what documents do i require to submit. Do i have to submit land property details for RTI(our lawyer said), if so what details would i get in RTI?

If it is paternal ancestral property of your husband then your husband has his right on the property in which you will get 1/4th share being his wife. Meantime you have not explained whether any divorce proceedings are going between you and your husband and you are asking share. At private company you can't file any application under RTI and there is no such provision. But you can ask from the court by filing an application to direct the concerned company to reveal the salary of your husband. You can file the application under RTI to know the details about the ancestral property of your husband by visiting the concerned authority with proper description of the property.

Dear madam, you can't use RTI act to obtain salary details of your husband because private sectors will not coming under RTI, as you don't have any children you can file partition suit against your husband and only thing you can do that you have to file maintenance petition before court, and in court you have to file applications to summon salary details to his company and income details to Income tax department.
