High court date on election day
08-Jan-2025 (In Divorce Law)
My court date is on 5feb 2025 but today it's declared as election day in Delhi . When will I get new date . Should I need to go to court on 5th.
If it's a holiday on the day of your case then the date of hearing will automatically be shifted to the next day that is 6th of February 2025. But due to regular and pending cases on that day effective hearing will not be possible.

The court will be working on 5th Feb 2025, so you have to appear before the court to proceed with your case. And if in any case the other party didn't appear on this excuse then it is the liberty of court to pass any order against him. so it is advisable to appear before the court on the date fixed.

You do not need to go to the court that day automatically there would be notification stating that all the matters would now be taken up the very next day that is 6th Feb so you should go to the court on 6th Feb
