Filed divorce missed out certain facts what can I do

01-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Sir/Madam, I have filed for divorce against my husband in court. I have also filed an affidavit in this regard last month but due to lack of knowledge i have failed to mention some important facts in that. Now about to be cross examined by defense lawyer later this week. Can i file an additional affidavit? or will i get a chance to say these tell these facts directly to court? if yes, when i should say.

Hi
You can also state the additional facts in the open court and also submit the same as affidavit . In family courts, procedures (CPC) is not important but the facts are important.
Since all divorce petitions are filed by the wife, law presumes that any mistakes in law / procedures may be ignored so as to ensure that the woman can tell the facts from both her heart and mind.
So no worries. you can tell the details at the time of cross examination also.
